  1. FlexiSPY has released an important update to FlexiSPY for iPhone Light version 5.01.1, available now for customer download. FlexiSPY for iPhone Light 5.01.1 introduces the following changes: UPDATE - This is an important maintenance release for FlexiSPY Light iOS 5.0.1 customers only, addressing two visibility issues described below. After the FlexiSPY application icon was hidden, it was not possible to bring it back. This maintenance release resolves that problem. Under certain conditions the application icon could be seen running in the task manager. This maintenance release resolves that problem. Anyone currently running FlexiSPY Light version 5.00.3 for iOS 5.0.1 is encouraged to update to this latest version at your earliest convenience, to avoid any potential issues. Important Note: An issue exists in which recent versions of the Redsn0w jailbreaking utility cause an error to occur when attempting to uninstall an application, including FlexiSPY Light. This is not a FlexiSPY issue, although FlexiSPY is affected as are other applications. If you are unable to un-install your current version of FlexiSPY due to this issue, you will need to re-jailbreak your iPhone before attempting to install this updated version. To resolve this problem so that all applications may be uninstalled normally after jailbreaking, re-jailbreak the phone using the latest version of RedSn0w (currently 0.9.10b4), and immediately install "Corona 5.0.1 untethered" (available through Cydia), before installing FlexiSPY Light or any other software. Corona is not a program that comes with any icon. It simply patches the RedSn0w exploit which breaks the uninstall utility, and corrects this problem. However Corona must be installed prior to other software, or you may still be unable to uninstall those applications. Please note that RedSnow version 0.9.10b4 was stated to have already resolved this problem, but in our lab testing we found the problem still exists, and therefore recommend our customers to rejailbreak and install Corona if possible. OTHER NOTES: Incompatible with "Ultrasn0w" unlocked devices Note on Jailbreaking: To install FlexiSPY you will need an iPhone that is already jailbroken. Jailbreaking is not the same as unlocking, and is generally a harmless process which allows you to install numerous 3rd party software not directly available via iTunes and the App Store. Various 3rd party utilities and tutorials are available for jailbreaking your iPhone if necessary, although we cannot accept responsibility for any damage caused by the use of 3rd party tools we do not directly support. THIS UPDATE IS ONLY FOR FLEXISPY IPHONE LIGHT CUSTOMERS AND DOES NOT APPLY TO ANY OTHER FLEXISPY PRODUCT OR MOBILE OPERATING PLATFORM. How to install this version: All installations including reinstallations and software updates must be performed directly from the Target phone itself, and cannot be done remotely. Existing iPhone Light customers wishing to update to this latest version should first download all logs you wish to save from the web account, and then send remote SMS command to the Target iPhone to uninstall. An SMS reply will confirm a complete uninstall, then re-jailbreak the phone and follow all steps in the manual to reinstall. How to upgrade: Existing customers who would like to upgrade (from Light to Pro to Pro-X) may do so through their web account login. From the PROFILE page, click the UPGRADE link and follow through the checkout process to purchase an upgrade for only the difference in cost. If you are more than six months into your current subscription period, it may be cost effective to purchase a subscription renewal at the lower cost of your existing product first, and then upgrade after. When you have completed the purchase you will receive an email with further upgrade instructions. You will need access to the Target phone to uninstall the current product before installing the new version. Remote install is not possible. Please note that only FlexiSPY Light is currently compatible with iOS 5.x. FlexiSPY Pro and Pro-X may currently only be installed onto iOS 4.x versions.
