Kisses vs. FlexiSPY

I'm interested in FlexiSPY PRO X. It's *exactly* the program I'm looking for to do, well, "do what it does." However, it is CRITICAL that the claim of "100% Undetectable" on the phone itself is true. I understand that there are unavoidable 'hints' that the program may be installed when the device is activated and that the user can "see" the activity increase on their usage statement.

Before I drop $350 on this package, I need to know if "Kisses" (freeware anti-spyware app) is true to it's claim that it can ferret out FlexiSPY. The "cost" if the "Undetectable" claim is not true may greatly exceed the actual purchase price.

I'm also wondering if the product is able to monitor/log IMs from apps like GoogleTalk, AIM, etc. or activity on Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.).

Kisses is a trivial program that did detect early versions of FlexiSPY by using pre known signitures. We have now changed that method, and it will not detect the newer versions. Also, Kisses is 'amateur-ware', and it does not update any kind of signiture definition, and I dont think there are any significant resources behind this. What this means is that beyond the 15 mins of fame, Kisses will never be able to guarentee detection of FleixiSPY. We have team of Blackberry specialists who download and analyse Kisses daily. Can Kisses claim the same? They would have to purchase daily copies of FlexiSPY to have a chance.

Moving on from the technical stuff, lets find out more about the man behind Kisses anti virus

According the the news, Mr Sheran Gunasekera, is the person behind this, and he himself is a creator of spyware, namely Phone Snoop.

As one user on the Blackberry Forum says

"On a fundamental level, I am not sure I would trust a spyware detector created and distributed by the same guy ( Sheran Gunasekera) that created spyware, even if that spyware was a 'proof of concept.' It's like Lilly's or Pfizer creating nasty bugs in the lab as 'proof of concept' to sell more nasty bug fighting drugs,"

Its up to the reader to decide if Kisses is a real, stable, reliable and dependable detector of FlexiSPY, or a piece of cynical self promotion. All we know is that we are not losing any sleep over this ;-)

If it didn't work, you have a 10 day return guarantee that I saw on the main page of the site. :)

A person I know installed Kisses on a BB Bold 9700 and it did not detect Flexispy Pro X, BUT it disabled all Flexispy's functionality. Once Kisses was deleted, functionality was restored. Very strange. This was all done today, October 16, 2010.
