Problems to install FlexispyProX on Nokia 5800

Hi, I'm new here and maybe there is anybody, who can help me, I'm trying for 4 days now to install the software - unsuccesful :-(

I ordered Flexispy Pro X and bought a new Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. When I go online with the phone to download the software

the download starts, but by the time it should start to install it just shows "Expired Certificate"

Date and time is set correct and I even tried it with different dates - the only thing, that changes, when i set an earlier date is

"Certificate my not be valid as yet,may be expired, or the date may not be set right" instead of "Expired Certificate"

I thought, there might be a problem with the phone, took it back to the shop and got a new one.

But it is still the same problem.

So if there is anybody, who might know, what the problem could be and what I need to do, please help me...

Many Thanks

Avia, I have only ever heard of this happening when the date is incorrect, and its also exactly what that message means. Please be absolutely certain your clock is set to the correct date on this phone, today's date in the month of April, year 2010. Some phones may not have the correct date set when brand new, and many phones may need the date reset every time the battery is removed. There is no problem with the certificate and we only hear about this when the date isn't correct on the phone.

Hi...thanks for your reply, but I am sure, that the date I set on the phone is correct...I even took the phone back to the shop and the staff there

also didn't know what the problem could be... :(

The model is supported, and this is not a problem we normally hear about. I suggest you submit an official Ticket from our Support Center at http://support.flexispy.com. Hopefully we can help you solve the problem from there, or discuss the details with our developers.

Hi Christian, thanks for your reply...

I got a ticket, explained the problem and also sent pictures of the phone(date, time settings; 'expired cerificate')

but so far no one was able to help me.

I am thinking now about getting another new phone to install the software on that one, but I'm afraid, that the same will happen again...I spent so much money allready :(

so if there's anyone who had similar problems or might know,

what else I could try

please let me know!!!

Many Thanks

Hi Avia.

There is nothing wrong with the application you bought.

Make sure on the target phone are not installed some special features from your local carrier. It happened once for one of my users, with exactly same phone model. That specific phone was embedded with some special Internet access features for a local carrier (Vodafone Romania) to increase the speed and improve the navigation. In case you've bought that cell from a local carrier shop, there are big chances to be same problem as above.

There is a simple solution: just reinstall Symbian OS - please make sure you'll install a generic one, not a dedicated one. Doing so, you will be able to install your application in matter of minutes. You can do it by yourself or you can ask some specialist (gsm service, etc).

Please note that reinstalling Symbian OS might be a cause of losing general guarantee certificate for that cell, so before doing that you might ask the shop you bought that phone.

Cheers,

Tudor.
