phonespyonu Posted March 21, 2010 Posted March 21, 2010 I have as I am required to have certain SMS key words that activate or deactivate the mic or spycall feature on my target iphone. Howver I find that I often try to call the phone for a voice call and the mic is on and I can not get through with voice. I check and no variation on any of my SMS commands have been sent and no SMS confirmation that SpyCall has been turned on has been recieved. I have to send the DeActivate command and THEN call the person back. This is getting a bit too risky. Anyone else experience this? FlexiSpy Support just tells me I need to reinstall the software or re-jailbreak the phone which I have with no luck. It must be a bug in the software.

If you set the commands to something common, you can bet that someone else will eventually send a text to the Target that will contain your command. So it could be that someone else is turning on the SpyCall mode for their own phone! Remember that you can set single or multiple word commands, CaPiTalizaTion counts for uniqueness, as does any punctuation or symbols, or any character text string that is available to type.
zitounec Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 I also experience this problem. By the way each time the iPhone is switched ON all calls made from the monitor number become a spycall!!!
Guest Ian Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 I also experience this problem. By the way each time the iPhone is switched ON all calls made from the monitor number become a spycall!!! As Christian has already said, please be sure to use unique words or phrases for the custom SMS commands. Remember that these commands can be sent to the TARGET from any phone, not just the MONITOR.

SMS commands monitor OFF have been sent from the monitor to the target, target send back the SMS confirmation and spycall is deactivated. But each time the iphone is rebooted (whatever the method) then spycall is turned ON again. weird. and so risky of course... I've also contacted the support by ticket and no solution....also Any ideas???

I would suggest that you submit a NEW ticket from our Support Center (not a reply to an old one). In the Ticket, make the subject line "Possible iPhone Bug". Tell them that I advised you to submit the ticket, from the forum, and request that Development take a look at the problem. Then you need to provide all of the following in the ticket: - A clear description of the actual problem. - The exact SMS command you have predefined for turning on/off SpyCall - Exact product version of your iPhone software. - Exact version of the iPhone (2g, 3g, 3gs). - Exact Version of the iPhone OS. - Version of the iPhone Boot ROM (MA, MB or MC). You can find this from the iPhone settings/about. - What you used for jailbreaking the phone prior to installing FlexiSPY. You can also ask them if you have the latest version of your software installed. If we've had an update since you installed, you might as well try reinstalling. Anyone else experiencing this exact same problem (reboot phone and all Monitor calls are SpyCalls - when spycall was turned off) can submit a similar ticket. Someone in development will take a look into it.

phonespyonu Posted April 23, 2010 Author Posted April 23, 2010 Thanks Christian, I had not considered that ANY phone sending an SMS could activate commands using the right wording and capitalization. That sounds Very dangerous especially if they get a confirmation sent back. Do they? Thanks again

That sounds Very dangerous especially if they get a confirmation sent back. Do they? Thanks again It is not dangerous if you understand how it works. When you set up these commands, you have to realize that other people will most likely send a text "hello" to the Target sometimes. So if you make "hello" a command, then yes this will trigger that command every time it receives it from any source. Commands can be multiple words or short phrases, and may include cApiTaliZation as well as any _pUnctuaTion_! So it is easy to create unique commands hidden within any normal appearing sms, that others would not duplicate in their own sms messages to the Target.

Okay I just understand that I can make a SMS phrase containing the command string defined in the app GUI. For example if I define "CalL" to turn monitor call ON in the MBackup UI then what will happen if someone else send "Hello, can I CalL you back..." ? Does the target iphone will turn monitor call ON ? Does the phone which issue this text will receive the SMS from the target saying "monitor ON processed by......" ? Thanks.

If someone else sends an SMS to the TARGET containing the same phrase as you have set as a remote SMS command then the software will process it.
