  1. I figured it was something like that I just wanted to make sure the original poster understood. I WISH spycall worked during charging on iOS 4.x devices. Or that the iOS 5.x version was able to use speakerphone during spycall to avoid the noise reduction issue...hint...hint :)
  2. Ian, The versions of Flexispy for IOS 4.x do not support spycall while on the charger...unless something has changed. You seem to imply from your last message that Flexispy for any iOS version from 4.x to 5.1.1 will support spycalls while on the charger...I believe (unless something has changed) that only versions for iOS 5.x support this functionality...

    IOS 6

I doubt they can give you a firm answer. If it follows what has happened in the past, it could be as long as 4-6 months. For example, iOS 5 was out for about 5-6 months with a jailbreak before a release came out for it. There's also the factor of how long it takes someone to come up with an untethered jailbreak.
  4. Sorry if I blabbered on--I'm just trying to say that on the iPhone 4 AND iPhone 4S, using speakerphone during spycalls will solve this problem as that automatically disables noise cancellation and uses the upper microphone only.
  5. Hi Ian, Actually the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S should be identical with the noise cancellation issue. Both use the upper mic during handset-mode calls to sample the ambient noise in the area and subtract it from the sound heard at the lower mics. This works well for normal phone calls because normally the user has the phone up to their face, so the upper mic barely hears the sound of their voice but hears all the background noise--so the background noise is removed and the user's voice comes in clearly. If the phone is sitting on the table away from everything, both the upper mic and the lower mics hear roughly the same thing and most of the sounds are cancelled out--that's why it doesn't work to have spycalls answered in handset mode. Speakerphone mode only uses the upper microphone and no noise cancellation is used, so it works amazingly well. I've used both the iPhone 4, and the iPhone 4S and both have the spycall issue--pretty badly. Now, in your iOS 4.x versions of Flexispy, you turned on the speakerphone for spycalls on the iPhone 4, and it worked FANTASTIC. The previous generation iPhone 3 and 3GS didn't have this problem because they didn't include a second top mic and noise cancellation. From what I understand, I believe using speakerphone during spycalls is going to be the only real way to fix this issue starting with the iPhone 4 and going up to the new iPhone coming out (which will also feature noise cancellation in handset mode).
  6. Oh I'm not asking for an iOS 6 version. I'm hoping you guys will find a fix for the spycall problems in iOS 5.x before the iOS 6 release. The reason why is that I still have a target that is on iOS 4.3.3 using Flexispy (and the version for iOS 4.x of Flexispy uses the speakerphone for spycalls which works properly). I've been holding off upgrading it to iOS 5 because of the spycall issues. Once iOS 6 is released, I won't be able to upgrade it to iOS 5 anymore...so at that point I'll have to wait until you have a working version for iOS 6...which as you said could be a while. That's why I'm hoping you fix the spycall problems for the iOS 5.x version before the 12th...so I'll be able to upgrade the target to iOS 5 and use that. Apple won't allow me to upgrade it to iOS 5.1.1 any more after that...it'll only upgrade to iOS 6.
  7. I hope you can fix them before Sept. 12th. That's when things get dicey because they are going to release iOS 6 then. I have one target still on 4.x because of the spycall issues, but would love to move to iOS 5.1.1 for some of the new features. Unfortunately, once iOS 6 is out, that will be the only upgrade option, and therefore there will be no ability to upgrade
  8. Oh, and I don't think Miriam is using a 4.x version because of the mention of making spycalls while charging. So far only the 4.x versions can do that I think (though I wish the 4.x versions would allow that). I think Miriam has bypassed the problems with non-speakerphone spycalls in the 5.x versions because the target always has the headphones plugged in which bypasses the noise cancellation in handset mode. That solution works but most targets will not keep headphones plugged in all the time or don't use them.
  9. You know what would be awesome? If you guys could do an update to your versions for iOS 4.x which would allow spycalls to go through while the phone is on charger (like you can on the version for iOS 5.x). Those of us who are still using the 4.x software because of the spycall issues with 5.x (until those are fixed--I know you are still working on a way to turn on the speakerphone for 5.x like you did in 4.x and I hope this happens soon) would benefit greatly from this. Any chance of this happening?
  10. Miriam: Do you have an iPhone 4 or 4S? There's no noise cancellation on the 3GS or earlier phones, so it's not an issue. On the iPhone 4 and 4S, in handset (non-speakerphone) mode, Apple uses the microphone on the top of the phone as a secondary microphone. The sounds that microphone pick up are cancelled out of the audio received by the bottom microphone (which, in handset mode should be close to the user's mouth). It works great for standard phone calls in that it cancels out most of the surrounding noise. UNFORTUNATELY, for spycalls that are done using handset mode, it has the effect of (1) cancelling out MOST of the surrounding sound, and (2) making what it does pick up very directional--only sounds near the bottom of the phone are picked up. Flexispy had this problem way back in their releases for iOS 4 when the iPhone 4 was first released. They fixed it eventually by using speakerphone mode for spycalls, which works FANTASTIC. When spycalls are answered in speakerphone mode (which uses ONLY the upper microphone and there is no noise cancellation) you can hear everything around the phone, even if it is in a pocket or purse or whatnot. However, something changed in their iOS 5 compatible release, and once again spycalls are answered in standard handset mode, and with the noise cancellation, spycalls are generally useless with the iPhone 4 and 4S unless the target is speaking within a foot or two of the bottom of the phone. It really doesn't work well at all. If you want to see the difference, just call an iPhone 4 or 4S normally (handset mode) and put the phone down. Then listen on your phone and start making noise...you can barely hear it (or you get choppy, cut-off noises). Then, put the iPhone 4 into speakerphone mode and do the same thing. It's a WORLD of difference. I'm really hoping the team fixes this issue really soon like they did before. And as I said, if you're using an iPhone 3GS or earlier phone, it doesn't affect those. Only the later iPhone 4 and 4S (and it REALLY affects them in a major way -- I'd go as far as to say the spycall function is pretty useless on these phones without using speakerphone mode).
  11. I've also noticed that occasionally a spycall will end up showing up in the call logs as well. It seems to happen more commonly when a spycall is cut off because the user starts using the phone. You can always tell when it has happened because the uploaded log to the account will show the actual call time instead of 00:00 as it usually does for spycalls. I'm really disappointed right now that the speakerphone mode of spycalls doesn't work anymore. Spycalls on the iPhone 4 and 4S are useless with the current handset mode being used because of the noise cancellation function of those phones. You can barely hear anything but it was perfect when speakerphone was used on previous versions. I've resorted to blocking the upper microphone on the 4/4S to improve things a little (less noise cancellation) but obviously this isn't exactly a stealth solution. It would also be great if the uploaded logs would show remaining battery level so that one could have an idea if making a spycall could deplete the phone battery and kill the phone.
  12. Ian: actually the versions of Flexispy for ios 4 already do this....
  13. The "dead air" that happens during call intercept is so that the user doesn't hear the network-generated "call waiting" beeps. I'd much rather have that than how it worked before (way back in previous versions) when you could hear those beeps, which alerted the user. A moment of "dead air" is much more passable as it IS a wireless cell phone..."dead air" moments happen from time to time anyway.
  14. I'd be happy if SpyCall worked on the iPhone 4/4S since right now without it using speakerphone mode it doesn't--well, it DOES connect but because of noise cancellation you can't hear anything. Crossing fingers for a fix to this very soon. Right now I'm having to keep the target phones on iOS 4.x and use the previous versions of the software for that iOS version (because they use speakerphone mode).
  15. Hi Christian, I'm doing some more testing as we speak, and am happy to help in any way I can. I'll rework the review you spoke of to reflect some of my latest findings... --Peter
